a post only I could make

I am very, very passionate about the 2001 Australian lore of Paul having a glow stick on his guitar and NOBODY knows what I am talking about when I say this. No longer! I will tell everyone the mystery.

The 2001 Australian Weisses Fleisch and Asche zu Asche performance

is actually an edited mess. I found numerous errors in the footage, continuity issues, and spliced footage from other irrelevant songs. The footage is like 60% WF/Asche and 40% random clips from songs. The Australian TV footage of the non-DVD songs has similar problems. There's random frame error splices that shouldn't be there. The only way to see these frame errors is to comb the footage frame-by-frame in a video editor like I did. Because your human eye cannot detect single error frames running at 25/29fps.

The reason why I did this? Because, ugh lmao, you know when I showed you my 9:25 1997 splice of Paul footage? I make those clips all the time with footage. It requires me to frame cut on accuracy. So I end up going through frames one by one. It would suggest some of the errors I found happened near Paul clips lol. Either leading into a clip of him, or leaving a clip of him. Most likely a lead in. I know there's at least one frame of Richard spliced somewhere he shouldn't be because it made me laugh.

List of errors off the top of my head:

Weisses Fleisch:
- 0:42 this close up footage of Paul is from Du hast. FACT. Don't ask why. It's just a fact. 100% indisputable via Bree science.

- 1:19 this is footage from Bestrafe mich and you can see this on the TV airing omg!

Paul is using a silver drop D guitar. Which cannot be possible in Weisses Fleisch which is the maroon with pickguard by this era. Wrong!!!

- 1:33, 2:10, 2:40 (yes all three) shows footage from Sehnsucht

because Paul and Olli have swapped stage placements. Paul doesn't make body positions like this, Olli does if you have ever watched him in Sehnsucht before. It's infamously caused by him hunching into Paul's mic. Why did he sing the line?? Just play the bass omg don't use the mic. He's too big for this.

The error of 2:40 is embarrassing because that was Schneider's drum solo but you clearly see the others playing when they should be doing nothing. Dumb okay. Dumb error!!

- 2:24 they show Paul during Reesh's solo doing this cute thing he wants to do by spinning himself slowly in a circle. They then interrupt this footage to show him in this position

which makes no sense to what his prior action was

and how he ends up in this circle motion by the end of the solo.

Is this edited by monkeys who can't spot this logic issue? The lighting conditions don't even match! The spotlight was on Richard. Paul was in the dark. This error splice of a Paul clip is likely taken from Heirate mich.

- 2:40 as well they show Till doing this.

It's impossible because they already showed footage of him leaving the stage for Reesh's solo and the dance break. My theory is this Till clip is from Sehnsucht. It looks like the same movement he does in this song with the same pacing rhythm as this song. Just go watch Till do Sehnsucht in the 90s and you will understand me.

- They show Paul doing head bangs in WF (3:41, 3:43) that are spliced footage from Du hast. FACT. That is his exclusive Du hast behavior that any Paul fan knows it for and can be seen in the Du hast TV airing directly. He has a very ~specific way~ of moving in Du hast and this footage is from here. He still does it to modern eras.

Asche:

- Immediately at 4:41 they show Paul from another silver guitar drop D song.

Asche is a maroon brown guitar song. It's not Bestrafe mich's footage which was the only aired drop D song on TV.

In this error, Paul is center stage for Asche's intro but they clearly show him by the microphone and the wrong color guitar. The only other silver guitar options are Tier, DRSG, Engel, Laichzeit, or Wollt ihr because Bestrafe mich is ruled out. I actually wonder if it's Engel. He just... has this Engel kinda "look" to him and how he moves in certain songs. The position on the fretboard and his pace in motion reminds me of Engel.

Why does all of this matter to a glow stick???????

Because in WF, a maroon guitar song may I remind you!, at 1:13 they show him with a GLOW STICK from a mysterious unaired drop D silver guitar song.

LOOK AT THIS. A GLOWSTICK ON HIS GUITAR!?

How dare the Aussies keep this fucking secret from us for over 20 years? I am pissed. I want the FULL Australian footage omfg.

Whatever drop D song this is, it's not Bestrafe mich. As he is in a paused position. He makes paused body movement in songs where he doesn't play in the verses. Laichzeit and Wollt ihr don't technically fit this body pause in his behaviors historically of how he moves in those songs. That only leaves Tier, Engel, and DRSG. Where he is known to pause his body in those like this. However, I doubt it's Engel or DRSG. Those songs often used red lighting conditions during this tour time period. I really suspect it's Tier. But I can't fully rule out Laichzeit and Wollt ihr. You can see in crowd shots that people have glow sticks just like this in various colors. I wonder if Paul picked it up by something thrown on stage or what happened to cause this amazing thing to exist.

(unwarranted Du hast image. I just like this.)

I am unnecessarily invested in 2001 Australia footage. That's my big secret. Only I could make a post like this. Nobody else would talk about this uselessness. Just me. I am the one out here making posts about.... (checks notes) glow sticks, water molecules, and Sonne tuning checks. Normal content. Only the finest and most essential Paul content around here.
