about white ribbon

"white ribbon" is a deeply unserious-serious independent fan archive and research blog focused on Paul Landers interviews, image preservation, translations, fan essay compendium, and the kind of niche details social media tends to lose forever.

about the fansite

"white ribbon" opened in July 2023 after I stepped away from social media (we all know why), and wanted a more stable place to collect, write, and archive things properly. It has changed shape several times since the first iterations, but the goal has stayed the same: make a small independent fansite that is easy to browse, personally written, and useful to people searching niche Rammstein things online.

The site mostly focuses on Paul Landers related materials. Some pages are informational. Some are (feminine) opinionated. Some are just fanblog girly nonsense with a ribbon on it. That mix is intentional.

Update frequency: Currently, I update the gallery once a month with 20-100 images. As for interviews, I aim for one untranslated text every two or three months. And for fan writings, it's a matter of whimsy and inspiration. Anywhere between once every two to five months.

what you'll find here

interview archive

Collected, organized, and linked interviews from old fansites. Including older or harder to find material. Currently, over 130.

translations

Fan translations, footnotes, and curated quotes. With original sources linked.

photo gallery

A large Paul focused image archive with 12,000+ organized, tagged, and sorted uploads. I am the Final Boss of Pinterest's nightmares.

research & trivia

Posts about guitar colors, obscure reminiscence, visual stage details, photo lore, excessively cited dates, hyper specific factoids, and other extremely normal interests.

sources & citing

This site is an independent fan project. Not an official source and not journalism. When I translate, summarize, collect quotes, or present research, I am usually acting as a tertiary source. While I am partly credible, there are limits. I try to link originals, cite where things came from, and separate informational writing from opinionated posts or sentences as clearly as possible. Please check the original sources I use directly.

If you quote a translation or research post, please credit the original interview source foremost, and link back to the relevant "white ribbon" page when possible. I do not want my translations reused in journalism or commercial articles. Facebook groups and Instagram posts are okay! ♡

personal responsibility

I firmly believe in a thing called responsibility on the Internet.

That means:
– if you are angry, close the tab
– if you are having misogynistic thoughts, close the tab
– if you're upset I don't ship, close the tab
– if you're mad I don't like your faves, close the tab

You can post whatever you like on your blog. Just as I can too. Words on this website do not magically arrive to your screen or mind. You have to stop looking at what upsets you on a daily/weekly basis. You don't need me to like you or your posts.

A wise man once said,

If you have any respect for him, you'd understand and act accordingly.

online fan history

I've been around for over 15 years with various usernames and aliases. As for my era of fandom, I am old enough to remember the "Richard's bunny" joke. Young enough to remember the saucy fruit memes. Old enough to have visited rammimages.com when it existed, but too young to remember rammsteinfan.de. Remember the6, but don't remember the R+ slash mailing list. I visited herzeleid.com when it updated and watched the LIFAD leaks. My favorite old fansite? rammstein-austria.com. When I was younger, I spent my time on Rosenrot.ca and Affenknecht.

Implied FAQ (click me)

"How serious are you really?"

Very serious.

"When did you do that tattoo? / Why his neck?"

A week after listening to Tattoo. I like the neck one the most. No particular meaning. (I'm lying. He picked an erogenous zone and I can't stop looking at it.)

"Do you ship–"

Yeah of course. I ship him with myself. (No, I don't ship anyone. Not my thing but you're free to enjoy that. When I was young, I liked him with Schneider. Do I read fic? Almost never.)

"Your favorite album?"

"This fansite is too girly. Can you please make it black like every R+ site ever?"

No. If you can't handle a rabbit gif next to a Paul jpg, you're not gonna make it in this cruel world. Give up now I guess.

"What do you look like though?"
